What Should You Look For in a Contractor:
Q: Do they have a class A builder's license?
A: A class A license is the highest contractors license that you can get for the state of Virginia. It requires 5 years of experience and qualification through a written exam from an individual representing the company. Ridge Line Builders is proud to say that we have a class A general contractors license through Virginia.
Q: Have you seen proof of insurance?
A: The contractor must supply proof that he is current with General / Personal liability which insures your property for up to $1 million per job. If your contractor is not insured, you could be liable for damage or injury done during construction. Ridgeline Builders is licensed and insured and provides proof of insurance upon request.
Q: Can your contractor provide references?
A: Ridgeline Builders can provide a list of references for any project, just ask!
Q: Does your contractor rent or own the tools they use on site?
A: Ridge Line Builders, unlike many other contractors, owns all of our own tools – even the heavy machinery involved with excavation! This makes them easily accessible to us during every construction job.
